MANDAPA, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will unveil the new look of its hanging bar and dining destination, Ambar at Mandapa, on 27th November 2022. Inspired by a Sanskrit word, Ambar means sky, it is a perfect reflection of the venue where guests can gaze into the magical sunsets in Ubud during the golden hour while savoring handcrafted cocktails and Japanese-Indonesian fusion gastronomy.
According to Masanori Hosoya, General Manager of Mandapa, a Ritz- Carlton Reserve said entering Ambar, guests will be welcomed in an open space surrounded with views of lush greeneries overlooking the beautiful forest of Ubud and the Mandapa village from the new outdoor wooden deck.
“The concept of Ambar at Mandapa is a celebration of the flavors of Bali paired with the traditional beverage and culinary techniques of Japan. Ambar is a place that will entice and inspire guests to reimagine their tasting experience with a curated selection of cocktails highlighted by the mixologist, from Antarvana which is inspired by indigenous ingredients from the surrounding forest and Japanese fine drinking that creates a modern and creative take on traditional herbs, fruits, and spices,” Hosoya said.
The Fruits of the Forest menu features a selection of classic cocktails with unique twists and eclectic spirits that allows guests to sample variants of Gin & Tonic, Aged Coconut Cocktails, and Mini Snacquiri flights. The Canopy Collection menu consists of a list of unique spirits that are the specialty of Ambar and are constantly evolving to keep guests impressed. A diverse offering of international wines and curated local-market-influenced beers also adorn the selection of drinks to be enjoyed.
“We recreated Ambar as a place with an inviting and elegant atmosphere to enjoy crafted aperitifs before dinner, or to lounge and relax whilst watching the golden sunset of Ubud with the soothing sound of live jazz music in the background,” Hosaya remarked.
