LIST OF AIRLINES CHANGING TERMINALS AT SOETTA AIRPORT STARTING DEC. 7

PT ANGKASA Pura II (AP II) anticipates the trend of increasing the number of international passengers towards the end of this year by balancing terminal capacity or rebalancing capacity at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), Tangerang.

According to the Director of Operations of AP II, Muhamad Wasid, explained that the terminal rebalancing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport was carried out in order to maintain operational and service aspects, as well as accommodate future requests.

Previously, Muhamad revealed that the phase I terminal capacity rebalancing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport had been carried out as of September 1, 2022. Thus, Lion Air’s Umrah flights as many as 8 flights/day moved from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2F.

“For terminal capacity rebalancing Phase II, it will begin as of December 7, 2022 where Lion Air Group’s international flights, namely Lion Air, Batik Air, Malindo Air and Thai Lion, will move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2F,” Muhamad said through an official statement, Sunday 4 December 2022.

With the rebalancing of Phase II terminal capacity, by the end of December 2022 there will be a transfer of 40 international flights (take off and landing) per day with around 6,000 passengers from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2F.

Muhamad explained, through Terminal Phase II capacity rebalancing, around 30 percent of international flights will move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2F. Rebalancing Terminal Capacity is carried out in stages to accommodate international flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Meanwhile, AP II’s Director of Commercial & Service, M. Rizal Pahlevi, said Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport was very ready to serve international flights in line with the revitalization being carried out.

“The revitalization has increased the special passenger capacity at Terminal 2F from previously 3 million passengers/year to 6 million passengers/year. All service and commercial facilities have been prepared at Terminal 2F to support international flights,” he said.

Rizal believes that in the midst of flight recovery, AP II ensures that operational, service, security and safety aspects are a top priority for all aircraft passengers and airport visitors. [antaranews/photo special]
