THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy has held ICEFF 2023 bootcamp and pitching to encourage capacity building of creative economy players in Mandalika which successfully booked potential financing worth IDR19 billion.
Previously, ICEFF was successfully held in Medan City on March 12-14, 2023. A total of 25 creative economy actors from 3 subsectors, namely culinary (19 actors), fashion (3 actors), and crafts (3 actors) participated in this activity. Furthermore, the ICEFF bootcamp and pitching was held in Mandalika on March 16-18, 2023, and was attended by 27 creative economy actors from 3 subsectors, namely culinary (16 actors), fashion (7 actors), and crafts (4 actors).
According to the Director of Access to Financing of the Ministry of Tourism, Anggara Hayun Anujuprana, when opening the ICEFF 2023 bootcamp and pitching activities at the Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) Lombok, Friday (03/17), 2023, said that the ICEFF 2023 bootcamp and pitching is one of a series of Islamic Creative Economy Founders Fund (ICEFF) 2023 programs.
“After going through various stages from registration to curation, the participants who have passed are entitled to take part in bootcamp and pitching to get education and pitching simulations as well as pitching opportunities in front of Islamic funding institutions,” said Hayun.
He explained that organizing ICEFF 2023 was an effort from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to bridge the meeting between sharia business people and financiers, and build a sharia business ecosystem.
For three days, participants were guided by mentors from Yukbisnis to get pre-pitching briefings and assistance during pitching. The enthusiasm of the participants was very visible when participating in this activity because it could add insight and network to Islamic financial institutions.
Likewise, the Head of the Integrated Banking and Financing Working Group of the Ministry of Tourism said that a total of 878 business actors registered through the website. But after being curated, 27 creative economy players were obtained who were entitled to take part in the bootcamp and pitching in the “ICEFF 2023” program in Mandalika.
