SOUTHEAST Asia multi-brand hotel and accommodation platform technology company RedDoorz recorded a revenue increase of up to two times during the 2023 Eid holiday compared to the same period last year.

The significant increase in RedDoorz’s revenue was contributed by the wider RedDoorz hotel network, namely SANS, UrbanView, Sunerra and The Lavana, which are starting to be in demand by a wider market segment ranging from families to business travelers.

“RedDoorz’s efforts to expand market segmentation beyond budget travelers are welcomed by people who are taking advantage of this year’s Eid holiday in various property segments,” RedDoorz Regional VP Marketing Henry Manampiring said in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (5/17), 2023.

Currently, there are more than 3,200 RedDoorz properties spread across 257 cities with a significant growth from multi-brand properties of 316 percent, an increase three times from the previous year. This growth has affected the addition of new RedDoorz users this year by more than 100% or doubled.

RedDoorz has also seen consistent residential growth in several cities in the last five years, including Bogor and Lampung, with growth up to three times the pre-pandemic conditions.

During the 2023 Eid holiday period, RedDoorz noted that Bali experienced a two-fold increase in occupancy compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile VP Operations & Multi-Brand RedDoorz Indonesia, Adil Mubarak ensured that Bali has become a favorite destination for domestic tourists during the 2023 Eid holiday period in line with the government’s decision to extend the Eid holidays and joint leave.

“We are optimistic that we will see this trend again next year, in line with RedDoorz’s efforts to continue to develop properties in various segments, one of which is The Lavana, RedDoorz’s new hotel network for the categories of villas, cottages, bungalows to resorts in Bali,” said Adil.

Data from the Bali Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) also stated that the number of domestic tourist visits to Bali during the 2023 Eid holiday period reached 18,000 people per day, an increase of 100% from the previous year which was only 7,000 people per day.

RedDoorz is also targeting to achieve a group break even point (BEP) by the end of 2023 through various strategies and initiatives that have been prepared. Previously, RedDoorz had successfully achieved BEP in Indonesia and the Philippines at the end of 2022.

Some of these strategies include active promotions to support the convenience of guests. One of them in the near future, RedDoorz is providing a 40% discount for the order period from 16 May 2023 to 18 May 2023. [sources/photo special]
