LION AIR GROUP FLIES DIRECTLY TO FOUR CITIES IN MALAYSIA FROM 8 CITIES

LION AIR Group has served international flight routes from eight cities in Indonesia to four cities in neighboring Malaysia. The eight cities are Jakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Batam, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Makassar. Meanwhile, the four cities in Malaysia are Kuala Lumpur, Subang, Penang and Malacca.

According to Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro said, this existing network marks Lion Air Group’s commitment to providing a wider range of services for business people and tourists.

“As well as strengthening air connectivity and relations between the two countries,” Danang said in a written statement, Tuesday (1/8/2023).

Currently, flights are available on a regular schedule from several airports in Indonesia which are served to popular destinations in Malaysia by Batik Air, Lion Air, Batik Air Malaysia and Wings Air, which are part of the Lion Air Group.

The following are round-trip flight routes that have been available so far:

Water Batik: (1). Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur: 28 times per week, (2). Jakarta-Penang: 28 times per week, (3). Medan Kualanamu-Kuala Lumpur: 14 times per week, (4). Medan Kualanamu-Penang: 14 times per week (new route effective 16 August 2023), (5). Yogyakarta-Kuala Lumpur: six times per week, (6). Makassar-Kuala Lumpur: six times per week.

Batik Air Malaysia (OD flight code): (1). Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur: 56 times per week, (2). Bali-Kuala Lumpur: 64 times per week, (3). Batam-Kuala Lumpur Subang Skypark: 14 times per week, (4). Medan Kualanamu-Kuala Lumpur: 14 times per week.

Lion Air (flight code JT); (1). Surabaya-Kuala Lumpur: 14 times per week (2). Medan Kualanamu-Penang: 28 times per week. Wings Air (flight code IW): (1). Pekanbaru-Malacca: 14 times per week.

Danang said the development of flight routes to other destinations in Malaysia would be carried out in stages to provide various travel options for passengers.
