VIETJET OFFICIALY LAUNCHES THE JAKARTA-HO CHI MINH CITY FLIGHT ROUTE

AN AIRLINE from Vietnam, Vietjet officially launched a flight route from Jakarta-Ho Chi Minh City, the third service in the Indonesian and Vietnamese flight network.

“These two countries have an important position in the ASEAN bloc and the broader Asia-Pacific region. We welcome and express our commitment to support airlines such as Vietjet in their efforts to improve air connectivity between Indonesia and Vietnam,” said Director of Air Transport, Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Putu Eka Cahyadi through a press release received in Jakarta.

Based on the plan, there will be seven flights a week for the Jakarta-Ho Chi Minh City route.

According to Vice President of Vietjet Nguyen Thanh Son, the new route between Indonesia and Vietnam is expected to facilitate access for Indonesian tourists to Vietnam. In addition, this flight route can save time for Indonesian tourists who want to visit Vietnam.

“More direct flights between Indonesia and Vietnam will create more opportunities for seamless travel, business collaboration, and increase bilateral trade, tourism and cultural exchanges,” said Nguyen.

The daily flight schedule for this route is departing from Jakarta’s Soekarno Hatta International Airport (CGK) at 13:30 WIB and arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City at 16:40 (local time). In addition, flights from Ho Chi Minh City depart at 09:35 (local time) and arrive in Jakarta at 12:30 WIB.

In addition to the new Ho Chi Minh City-Jakarta route, Vietjet will also increase the number of flights between Bali, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by offering 84 flights per week starting August 12. [antaranews]
