THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy fully supports the implementation of the Indonesia AI Innovation Challenge as an effort to revive the economy and create jobs in the creative economy sector.

“So, that Indonesia will not only become a target market and user of AI products from outside. But also create AI products and innovations that can penetrate the international market,” said Sandiaga.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also participated in the success of this activity through publications and participation as one of the jury members. Apart from that, he considered that this activity was also expected to be able to encourage the opening of business opportunities and employment in the digital economy.

“If all Pentahelix collaborate well in utilizing technological developments, we will produce AI that has efficiency in production and services. We will create something positive, reduce operational costs, and then of course create new jobs,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Initiator and Director of the Indonesia AI Innovation Challenge Program, Karim Taslim, said that this series of activities also aims to realize the creative ideas of the participants.

“After a period of three weeks of training, incubation and screening, nine grand finalists have finally been selected who will show their products or solutions at JIExpo,” said Karim.

This activity was also attended by echelon I and II officials within the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy who attended both online and offline.
