The three Arabica coffees come from Mount Ijen in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java (Jatim), Bajawa Village from Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and Boalemo Village from Central Aceh Regency, Aceh. The three types of Arabica coffee are uniquely combined with various flavors of fruit, spices and flowers.
“We have three quality Arabica coffees to contribute to the ASEAN Summit,” said the Head of the Priority Services Department and The Gade Coffee and Gold PT Pegadaian Taufan El Savir to the Communications and Media Team of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, Friday (1/9/2023).
Guests and journalists can enjoy this coffee dish at the Media Center and the 43rd ASEAN Summit. The three types of Arabica presented are of high quality because they are planted at an altitude of around 1,100 to 1,200 meters above sea level. Taufan also said that this factor is what makes the three local Arabica coffees have diverse tastes.
Based on his experience of mixing coffee at the State Palace, this drink is often the main choice of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and top officials to serve during discussions at both formal and informal events.
Coffee seems to be a powerful vitamin that makes President Jokowi and his aides feel comfortable discussing for a long time. A cup of coffee is not enough, sometimes they drink more than two cups of coffee. “Pak Prabowo has asked me to make coffee many times,” said Taufan.
The same thing happened when he was entrusted with mixing coffee for delegates to the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) some time ago. At that time, many ASEAN delegates ordered more than two cups of coffee at the booth located right in front of the meeting room.
Taufan also received a lot of praise from the delegation members who enjoyed his brewed coffee. This makes him even more confident that the cup of coffee he brews can have a positive effect on many people.
“I received a lot of appreciation from the delegation who enjoyed my coffee,” said Taufan.
Taufan also revealed the secret about the factors that make his coffee so popular with various levels of society, including President Jokowi. He said, because the Arabica coffee he processed contains chemicals that provide taste, aroma and physiological effects.
However, he also reminded that you should not consume too much coffee because it will have a bad effect on your health. “In one day there is a maximum of seven cups, you cannot exceed it,” concluded Taufan. [sources/photo special]
