THE HOUSE SET FOR THE FILM ‘HOME ALONE 2’ IN NEW YORK SOLD FOR IDR103 BILLION

THE LUXURY townhouse featured in the film “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” was sold for US$6.7 million or the equivalent of IDR103 billion.

Quoted on the Deadline page, Sunday (12/24), 2023, located on the luxurious Upper West Side in Manhattan at 51 West 95th Street, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, New York, USA, the house with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms is where Kevin outsmarts the ‘Sticky Bandit’ in the classic holiday film.

According to the agents selling this property, Dexter Guerrieri and Nicole Kats from Vandenberg of Townhouse Experts said that even though the film was released two decades ago, the townhouse owner still receives letters from children using that address. Additionally, a few days ago a German couple was standing outside, taking photos.

“The house has decorative moldings, high ceilings, walnut floors, and two sets of bay windows. It also offers a formal living and dining room with glass doors that open to a garden with mature trees, a wooden deck and a bluestone patio, according to the listing,” Guerrieri and Kats said.

It is explained that the front of the living room floor features a work space with tall windows and a full bathroom. To the rear is a large traditional living room with a functional fireplace, complete with two cupboards and terrace access.

“This townhouse was originally listed for US$7.65 million when it hit the market in March. However, the price has fallen to US$6.7 million in June,” they concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
