THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy is once again holding “Independence Melody”, which is a routine program of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf in welcoming the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in “The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno” which was held in a hybrid manner, Monday (08/05), 2024. explained that “Independence Melody” is an activity that invites the public to enliven the commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia by rearranging regional songs.
“It is hoped that this activity can promote the development of the music sub-sector in Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of Marketing Communications at the Ministry of Tourism, Titus Haridjati, said that there are nine regional songs that can be selected for rearrangement. Arrangements can be made with each person’s own style and arrangement, both individually and in groups.
“People who want to participate in “Melodi Kemerdekaan 2024” can send their work from August 3 to 25, 2024. More information can be found on the (Instagram) account @creativebyindonesia,” Titus noted.
Meanwhile, members of the teenage idol group JKT48 admitted that they are excited to support “Melodi Kemerdekaan 2024”. Lulu, for example, hopes that this activity can encourage the creativity of the younger generation.
“We are very happy to cooperate with the Ministry of Tourism, especially since we like to sing, so we are very happy to be asked to sing, especially regional songs,” Lulu remarked.
Another JKT48 member, Freya, invited the public, especially young people, to participate in the creation of regional songs.
“Because singing regional songs can be an example of love for the homeland as well as commemorating Indonesia’s 79th anniversary,” said Freya.
Not to be left behind by other members, Oniel also invited the public to participate in this activity. “The younger generation can participate in the promotion of regional songs because the lyrics are not only pleasant to listen to, but also have many positive lessons that we can take away,” concluded Oniel.
