INDONESIA TO DISCUSS FASHION PARTNERSHIPS AT BRIC+ FASHION SUMMIT

THE INDONESIA Fashion Chamber (IFC) has announced that it is ready to represent Indonesia at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit to discuss fashion partnerships at the international level in order to increase its presence on the global stage.

The event, which will be held in Moscow, Russia from October 3 to 5, 2024, will feature business meetings and an international exhibition titled “Heritage,” which will showcase beautiful Asian fashion styles by designers from Asian countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, and others.

“I believe that there is great potential for cooperation between the Indonesian and Russian fashion industries. This synergy can be mutually beneficial, presenting various fashion innovations and solutions for both markets,” said the founder of Indonesia Fashion Chamber, Ali Charisma, in his statement, Monday (09/30), 2024.

For the “Heritage” exhibition, Ali Charisma, representing Indonesia, will present special designs that showcase the richness of Indonesian traditions and batik art. Both in business meetings and exhibition events, Indonesian representatives are sure to participate in the entire series of BRICS+ Fashion Summit events.

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit event is prepared to bring together fashion leaders from 100 countries to engage in crucial discussions, build meaningful connections and forge new partnerships.

The agenda will cover several key topics, including global developments in the fashion industry, the growing interest in increasing exports and collaborating with different markets, the importance of preserving cultural identity, and innovative ways.

This includes the use of technological innovations, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to transform developing fashion businesses. The BRICS+ Fashion Summit underscores the importance of cross-regional collaboration to drive the growth and success of the creative industry.

By bringing together the BRICS countries and others, this event aims to foster new relationships and synergies that will ultimately position the creative industry as a major force in the global marketplace.

Asia is also poised to be the main highlight with delegations from Indonesia, China, India, Malaysia and Sri Lanka showcasing their unique cultural heritage and strengthening their contribution to the global fashion scene.

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit serves as a premier platform for emerging markets, reflecting the rich culture and traditions of the more than 6.5 billion people living in these countries. The upcoming event promises to provide designers with opportunities to expand both locally and globally.

BRICS+ Fashion Summit attendees will also participate in Moscow Fashion Week, October 4-9, which will showcase diverse talent from Russia, China, India, Indonesia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

Indonesian designers continue to impress Russian audiences, and this season the Raegitazoro brand will present its latest collection, which emphasizes sustainable consumption and combines futuristic aesthetics with neon colors. [antaranews]
