THE INDONESIAN Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy appreciates several international airlines that have opened new flight routes to Indonesia that have the potential to increase foreign tourist visits.
According to Ministry’s Senior Expert Staff, Nia Niscaya, Nia Niscaya, in “The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno” at Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta, Monday (09/30) 2024, said the airlines that opened the new flight routes were Scoot and AirAsia. Scoot is a low-cost airline from Singapore that has already opened several routes to different regions in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bali and also Lombok.
“This time Scoot presents a flight from Singapore to Kertajati Airport, Majalengka, West Java. Yesterday, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 16.35 WIB Scoot landed for the first time at Kertajati Airport, West Java. Thank you Scoot and this will serve flights twice a week, Tuesday and Saturday with a capacity of 112 passengers,” said Nia.
She explained that the Malaysian airline, Air Asia, opened the flight route Hong Kong-Denpasar on Tuesday (1/10/2024) and Hong Kong-Jakarta on October 8, 2024. Both routes will operate daily with an Airbus 320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers.
“The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy welcomed the presence of this new route. Because with the presence of these new routes, it is hoped that it will increase the choice of airlines for foreign tourists who want to visit Indonesia.
