THE MINISTRY of Tourism, represented by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, concluded a series of working visits to the Riau Islands by visiting the Busung Desert destination in Bintan Regency.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism saw the beauty of the destination, which offers a view of a blue lake with a stretch of desert in the background. This area used to be a sand mine that was no longer managed.
“This is one of the destinations with (the view) that is very beautiful,” said Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa, Wednesday (01/01), 2025.
Nih Luh Puspa, who was accompanied by the Regent of Bintan, Roby Kurniawan, had the opportunity to explore the rather large lake. She also took pictures at several points, which are indeed the main attractions of this destination.
Aside from seeing the beauty, the Deputy Tourism Minister also reviewed the infrastructure and facilities that need to be improved to enhance the competitiveness of destinations that offer quality and sustainable tourism experiences.
One thing that can be improved, said the Deputy Minister of Tourism, is the arrangement of the UMKM area to be better. The existence of the Souvenir House, which was symbolically inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Tourism on this occasion, is expected to be an inspiration.
“This (weather) is hot, if we provide UMKM stands that are arranged and shaded, it will definitely be better and more attractive,” he said.
Overall, the deputy tourism minister believes that Riau is a province with a wealth of high tourist attractions. Starting from nature, culture and also its distinctive cuisine.
“I am optimistic after seeing the natural beauty and tourism potential of the Riau Islands. I also see a strong commitment from the Governor and Regent who have great attention, I am sure that Riau Islands tourism will continue to develop,” concluded Nih Luh Puspa. [traveltext.id]
