SAUDIA ADVANCES KINGDOM’s SAUDI ARABIA VISION 2030 WITH MAJOR MILESTONES

SAUDIA, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continues to lead the way in advancing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, demonstrating a strong commitment to the nation’s aviation goals through 2024.

Through innovation, network expansion and strategic collaborations, Saudia is reinforcing its pivotal role in supporting the Kingdom’s broader goals of enhancing global connectivity, driving economic growth and creating new opportunities, while positioning itself at the forefront of the aviation sector’s transformation.

In line with Vision 2030’s aspirations to transport 330 million travelers, facilitate 150 million visits and serve 30 million pilgrims annually, Saudia has made significant strides this year in advancing its growth and development strategy.

In 2024, Saudia strengthened its position as a global aviation leader by expanding its international network. The airline launched new routes to key destinations, including Beijing, China; Medan, Indonesia; and Phuket, Thailand, in line with Saudia’s strategic vision to expand its global presence and enhance its competitive advantage in the international market.

With the new Dammam-Beijing route, Dammam has become the third Saudi city to offer direct flights to Beijing, resulting in a 16.2% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2023, and enriching King Fahd International Airport’s international offerings. In addition, the direct link to Medan reinforces Saudia’s role in supporting the goals of Vision 2030 to facilitate seamless travel for pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

Seasonal flights to Phuket have also commenced on December 2, 2024, positioning it as Saudia’s second destination in Thailand and further catering to the growing demand for leisure travel.

Throughout 2024, Saudia has continued to build strategic alliances and partnerships with leading global airlines to enrich the travel experience for its passengers and expand its international reach. Key codeshare agreements have been signed with AEGEAN Airlines, Kenya Airways, Virgin Atlantic, ITA Airways and Delta Airlines, strengthening Saudia’s global network and increasing its global reach for its valued guests.

These partnerships ensure a smoother travel experience through enhanced connectivity, allowing passengers to enjoy seamless transfers, convenient baggage check-in to their final destination, and access to a wider range of privileges. In addition, reciprocal loyalty benefits with partner airlines contribute to the enhanced passenger experience, in line with Saudia’s commitment to providing unparalleled service.
