WONDERFUL INDONESIA TO PROMOTE 10 SUPER PRIORITY DESTINATIONS AT MITE 2025

THE MINISTRY of Tourism will once again present the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion, which will promote 10 Super Priority Destinations (DSP) in the country, at Asia’s leading tourism industry exhibition, the Macau International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) 2025.

According to the Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, in her statement in Jakarta, Friday (05/03), 2025 said that the participation in the MITE 2025 event is one of the efforts to promote 10 Super Priority Destinations and Special Interests (Borobudur, Bromo-Tengger-Semeru, Labuan Bajo), as well as to strengthen the awareness of the Wonderful Indonesia brand in the Macau market.

The Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion was located at booth C27 Hall A at The Venetian Macau, Cotai Expo during the Tourism Exchange, which concluded on April 25-27, 2025.

“The presence of the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion is a form of cooperation and collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Garuda Indonesia in Hong Kong, and is supported by the Consulate General of Indonesia in Hong Kong, which also serves Macau,” said Ni Made Ayu Marthini.

The Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion on this occasion facilitated business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) activities that are expected to boost sales of tour packages prepared by industry players who joined the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion.

Promotional activities at the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion include product knowledge, business-to-business meetings through the Pre-Scheduled Appointment (PSA) and business-to-consumer systems, information services and Wonderful Indonesia social media promotions, as well as the distribution of promotional materials and souvenirs.

Meanwhile, Ni Made Ayu Marthini said that MITE 2025 is also an event for Indonesia to promote the concept of sustainable tourism that has been implemented in the country in managing the tourism sector.

“The participation of the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion in this event is expected to provide a travel experience in 10 DSPs and special interests such as wellness, marine, gastronomy and luxury. So that visitors, which include the people of Macau, the international community and the Indonesian diaspora, can help spread information about tourist destinations with green and sustainable concepts in Indonesia,” Made affirmed.

Likewise, the Ministry’s Assistant Deputy for Foreign Tourism Marketing II, Yulia, added her hope that Indonesia’s participation in MITE 2025 can directly contribute to increasing the target of foreign tourists to Indonesia in 2025 by 14 million to 16 million visits.

“Foreign tourists from Macau contributed 1,573 visits in 2024. In 2025, the Ministry of Tourism aims to increase the number to 1,600 foreign tourist visits from this region,” Yulia concluded. [traveltext.id]
