West, Central Java, Riau Islands, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi.
He said apart from sellers, the event which was held on June 10-11 was also able to attract 192 registered buyers from 20 countries, most of which came from Indonesia, England, Australia, France, America, and Asia.
“This year’s BBTF is being held online and offline and this is the first time the committee has done this to adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic situation,” he said.
Ketut Ardana explained that the BBTF 2021 activity took the theme “Exploring Sustainable & Wellness Tourism” or “Exploring Sustainable Tourism and Wellness” which reflects the involvement of the Indonesian tourism industry as a seller.
“Through this theme, we are generating the tourism economy and promoting the best sustainable tourism destinations and products with Balinese local wisdom as an environmentally friendly destination, rich in culture and tradition,” he noted.
He added that BBTF 2021 targets a transaction figure of IDR 3.7 trillion. He is optimistic that this target can be achieved if you look at the seller’s perspective, such as a tour operator who has the potential to bring tourists to Bali.
“We are targeting IDR3.7 trillion this year, it’s also decreasing because it’s because our event scale is also reduced, or a third of the 2019 transaction value target, whose transaction potential reaches IDR7.3 trillion,” Ketut Ardana concluded.
In the series of BBTF 2021 activities, the committee also held a talk show with the topic ‘Change, Development & Learning’ which discussed various perspectives and complete information related to government regulations, especially regarding plans and preparations for the opening of Bali to foreign tourists as well as real government programs. and stakeholders under the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI).
