BALINESE ARE ASKED TO COMPLY HEALTH PROTOCOLS FOR THE OPENING TOURISM

THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy asked the Balinese people to comply with health protocols for the readiness to open tourism on the Island of the Gods.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in Magelang, Central Java, Thursday (6/24) said I think we must continue to encourage Balinese people to survive in a very difficult situation for Bali.

“I don’t want people to feel that the government is leaving them, we will continue to encourage the Balinese people to comply with health protocols, increase their readiness and at the right time, at the right time, the situation is conducive and with the permission of the President of course will continue to prepare for the opening of Bali,” he said.

Regarding the closure of zone I of the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park to anticipate the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Tourism supports the decision.

“We support this decision and activities in the green and yellow zones that are possible to do with micro-scale implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) with strict adherence to health protocols and discipline,” he said.

Regarding the ‘International Conference Sound of Borobudur’, Sandiaga said that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy saw this as a challenge in itself because in the midst of the pandemic and the economic situation the Tourism Ministry had to hold this super important MICE event.

“Because music is very universal and Borobudur is one of the best places for music from various countries. This is uplifting, showing that in the midst of a pandemic, if we transform music, we can also hold the conference with health protocols,” he stated.

Sandiaga saw that it was not only famous musicians who attended this activity. But also thousands, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of musicians who can be inspired by this activity.

“So that they can survive in the midst of the pandemic, keep working, and the government will still be present in their midst to defend their rights,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, musician Tri Utami said he was grateful because what he had done for the last five years at Borobudur was not an easy thing so that they could perform music that was composed together.

“Without the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, we cannot land from Borobudur. Borobudur belongs to the Indonesian nation and belongs to the world. Borobudur has called and we will respond with concrete actions so that it is beneficial for the nation and state,” he concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
