THE INDONESIAN Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) is preparing to carry out a trial of easing the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Especially for restaurants located outside malls and shopping centers as well as restaurants located in hotels. Hotel operations will apply a number of health protocol rules. The latest protocol in operation is the use of the PeduliLindungi application. Although there are additional operational procedures, business actors say they will not add a large cost burden.
“There are additional costs, but first, we have been dealing with the washing hands, maintaining distance, and using masks (3M) process since last year,” said Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Maulana Yusran, Wednesday (9/1).
The additional costs are in the form of printing procedures for using the PeduliLindungi application and QR code. Regarding the movement of washing hands, maintaining distance, and using masks (3M) business players have prepared beforehand.
Other preparations for operations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic have also formed a Task Force to oversee the implementation of health protocols. However, business actors still use existing employees to carry out this supervisory function.
“It’s nothing special, it was formed from the existing management for the task force that oversees it,” Maulana noted.
For information, he continued that the COVID-19 Task Force previously issued a Circular regarding the formation of the 3M Task Force in public facilities. There are 11 types of public facilities that are required to form a Task Force.
Later, the Task Force at this public facility will carry out three main functions, namely prevention, guidance, and support. With these task forces, it will foster a sense of responsibility and accelerate efforts to transition to coexistence with COVID-19.
“It is hoped that an overview of what we must pay attention to in carrying out activities by being aware of the latest applicable policies can foster our sense of responsibility to take part in accelerating the transition to coexist with COVID-19,” said spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito previously.
