THE OPENING of Bali tourism, which will take place on October 14, 2021, will certainly not immediately bring in large numbers of tourists. At least, Bali takes up to a month to ensure the arrival of tourists.
According to the Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjok Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati said although Bali will be opened on October 14, tourists will certainly not come to Bali immediately.
Cok Ace, his nickname, projects that at least in early November 2021 new tourist visits will be crowded. However, it could be faster if there are charter planes operating. Bali will continue to apply health protocols to the maximum. Currently, tourists who come to Bali will undergo quarantine for 5 days at hotels that have been appointed by the government.
This quarantine hotel also has a Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment (CHSE) certificate and is collaborating with the nearest hospital designated to serve the handling of COVID-19.
“Quarantine rules are still dynamic, but until now they are still enforced for 5 days for tourists, we still follow the directions and suggestions from experts, because we don’t know the exact time period for the spread of the new variant of the COVID-19 virus [Mu], from the first time infected,” he said as quoted in a release on Tuesday (10/12).
Cok Ace also hopes that the Regional Tourism Promotion Board will play a role in increasing the promotion of foreign tourist visits and foreign exchange earnings, increasing domestic tourist visits and spending, raising funding from sources other than the state budget (APBN) and Bali’s regional budget (APBD), as well as conducting research in the context of developing tourism businesses and businesses in Bali.
Two days before the opening of international travel on October 14, BPPD is expected to be able to accommodate the return of tourist visits to Bali.
“So that for the first time the reception of foreign tourists in Bali after almost 2 years of being slumped due to the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to have maximum readiness in implementing health protocols, especially at the entrance to Ngurah Rai international airport and a number of other tourist attractions,” he concluded.
