G8 COFFEE & EATERY: ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND LOVED BY MILLENIALS

A NEW Café in Pondok Aren, the province of Banten that is unique and contemporary is able to provide a very impressive dining experience. Inaugurated at the end of last January, this cafe was able to gain customers. With a distinctive concept and theme, G8 Coffee & Eatery is an interesting place to visit.

Spending some quality time with your family and friends, during weekend is a great idea. And cafes are a good choice to do the same and also explore the food culture of that place. The location of G8 Café and Eatery which is surrounded by trees makes this area crowded with millennials. In addition, cultural developments have also created progress in the coffee shop industry in South Tangerang.

The best part of the the Cafe is the atmosphere. It’s modern, young and enjoyable. It’s a lovely place especially for those who like a good cup of coffee without having to go to a chic spot. On the contrary, it is a rather informal and contemporary café that also serves good food and some fair drink options.

“We like the enthusiasm of our customers and the loyalty of our employees,” said the Director of Café and Eatery G-8, Aryo Bimo Prasetyo or familiarly called Bimo.

Cafe G-8 stands in the midst of economic difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic. This cafe is expected to create job opportunities as well as give a new color in the culinary world, especially in South Tangerang.

“I want to do something to create jobs for other people,” said Bimo. Another thing that is no less important is Bimo’s desire to develop delicious food and drinks to be introduced to a wider audience. Another thing is the desire to open a food and beverage business, especially at this time of the COVID-19 condition, there is a lack of choice of places to gather and relax in places that have outdoor space.

Bimo has collaborated with an online ordering service with a third party to make it easier to order food and drink online.

The most recommended drinks and food at G-8 Cafe and Eatery besides coffee, this Café also offers a variety of snacks and heavy meals. This coffee shop is suitable to be visited with friends because it offers an outdoor area that can be a place to hang out. Because it’s an eatery and coffee shop concept, there are lots of food and drink menus here. Heavy food lovers can order Beef Mozzaru, Fried Noddle Garage, and delicious Grilled Oxtail here.

The prices for drinks and food here are affordable, starting from IDR25 thousand to IDR45 thousand. I ordered the original Situbondo Arabica coffee. Smooth blend and not sweet. While enjoying Arabica coffee, I invited Bimo to talk about the impact of environmental degradation on coffee plants.

“Well, we are very concerned about the problem of environmental pollution,” said Bimo. For this reason, from upstream to downstream, every stakeholder in the coffee industry needs to protect all plantations, including coffee, from environmental impacts. “Everything is related, considering that coffee plantations need good tree shade,” said Bimo.

So, if you are looking for a cool place to hang out at Pondok Aren? Don’t worry, there is a G-8 Café and Eatery that you can try in Tangerang City. We all can eat, drink coffee, hang out, meet, work on thesis, or just chat in these cool hangout places.

This slang-style cafe is located on Jalan Camat No. 8, Pondok Aren, Tangerang. For a capacity of approximately 150 people. However, Bimo is fully aware that the health protocols (prokes) rules during implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) must still be enforced. The maximum occupancy is limited to 60% only.

Currently, coffee in Indonesia is enjoying increasing popularity along with the rise of the middle class. This cafe culture also awakens the coffee ecosystem which continues to penetrate millennials in all regions.
