IN THE 2022 Global Peace Index (GPI) report, Indonesia is ranked as the fourth most peaceful country in Southeast Asia. In 2022, Indonesia (RI) recorded a GPI score of 1.8. Singapore is in first place. Malaysia ranks second. Vietnam ranks third.
Indonesia is also listed as an unsafe country for tourist destinations, according to The Swiftest, The Deadliest and Safest Destinations in 2022 report. The Swiftest is a company in the United States that focuses on data analytics, including social and environmental issues.
The report, which was published on December 1, 2022, assessed 50 travel destination countries. According to the report, Singapore is the safest country for tourist destinations. Meanwhile, Indonesia is classified as a country that is not safe to visit. The Deadliest and Safest Destinations in 2022 report makes an assessment considering seven factors.
Based on these seven factors, The Swiftest reports that the country is not safe for tourist destinations, namely South Africa. Meanwhile, Indonesia is ranked 10th as the most dangerous country. Neighboring countries, such as Malaysia and Thailand are considered to be more likely to be visited safely than Indonesia.
