TO USHER in the Chinese New Year of the Water Rabbit, Conrad Bali has partnered with two unique local brands: Djie Tjap and Brew Me Tea, to deliver exquisite gastronomical experiences to visitors.
Running throughout January, organic tea producers from Angsery Valley in Tabanan, Brew Me Tea, will be featured in a special afternoon tea available in EAST Lobby Lounge. Tea time invites us to slow down, take in the precious aromas of the moment and relax the body and mind.
The lounge will be serving a selection of oriental-flavoured sweet and savoury indulgences paired with Brew Me Tea’s White Peony blend. White peony is a flowering plant native to China, Mongolia, and Siberia that has been used for over 1000 years in ancient Chinese medicine to treat a wide range of health conditions. This organic tea is a brilliant amber-coloured infusion with a honey-like viscosity and a sophisticated mouthfeel.
In addition, Brew Me Tea have created an exclusive red Chinese New Year pack for Conrad guests to purchase and all check-ins will receive two sachets of “Ang Pao” Brew Me Tea blend in a festive red envelope as a welcome gift.
Chinese New Year breakfast is given a special accent with popular local noodle vendor, Djie Tjap given an exclusive cooking station in the centre of SUKU restaurant. Djie Tjap is a Chinese Bandungnese owned by talented Chef Priscilya Princessa, top 5 of MasterChef Indonesia season 1.
Of Chinese Indonesian heritage, the young Chef showcases the diversity that exists within Indonesia through her culinary creations. Across 21-23 January 2023, Djie Tjap will be cooking up a storm serving crowd-favourite noodles with a variety of toppings, nasi tim ayam and bakso goreng.
These collaborations represent Conrad Bali’s commitment to delivering guests inspired and meaningful sensory journeys and authentic experiences.
“As our commitment to supporting local communities and inviting our guests to discover destinations through the palate as well making a positive impact, we always try to connect with distinctive local businesses and artisans through our initiatives,” said Marc Schroer, Director of Food & Beverages and Culinary of Conrad Bali,
