ROUGHLY every decade Ferrari introduces a hypercar that showcases the best that the Italian automaker can produce at the time. Previous models include the F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. This spy video gives a glimpse of the next vehicle that could follow that lineage.
The vehicle undoubtedly looks aggressive. The front bumper has three large openings. The hood dips down at the center and the outside is raised to make room for the wheels. There appears to be a duct section that will channel air to the windshield.
In profile, you can see the low body of the vehicle. An electric warning sticker indicates the presence of a hybrid powertrain. Large wings appear above the tail. Judging from the size of the cockpit, there is only room for two people in the vehicle.
At the rear, there are two high-mounted exhaust pipes. There is also a large diffuser under the tail. No power-train details are yet available about this new hypercar other than the electric setup. Judging from the body proportions, the combustion engine has a center position.
According to rumors from 2022 citing leaked internal documents, the new Ferrari hypercar will debut in October 2024, and the company plans to make 599 units. The track focused XX version will join the lineup in July 2026.
Production of this variant is reportedly limited to 30 units. A convertible model is expected to arrive in 2027, and the automaker will produce only 199 units. The Purosangue crossover and hypercar are among these. The company intends to introduce a pure electric model by 2025.
Business has been going well for Ferrari. In 2022, the company delivered a record 13,221 vehicles, more than 2,000 cars more than in 2021. The carmaker’s net profit reached a new high of 939 million euros, equivalent to IDR15.1 trillion. [antaranews/photo special]
