MERCURE MIRI CITY CENTER IN SARAWAK, MALAYSIA IS READY TO WELCOME GUESTS

ACCOR, a world-leading hospitality group, has expanded its portfolio in Malaysia with the opening of Mercure Miri City Center, a stylish and modern hotel that blends international hospitality, with a design concept that highlights the natural wonders of Borneo.

According to Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer of Accor, South & Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea and India said the gateway to ecological attractions, such as Gunung Mulu National Park and the Niah Caves, Miri – the second largest city in the state of Sarawak – Miri attracts business and leisure travellers alike.

“Surrounded by local attractions, government offices, shopping malls and a heritage centre, Mercure Miri City Center reflects the area’s vibrant culture with a collection of curated artworks that showcase the region’s abundant flora and fauna, as well as Sarawak’s 32 ethnic groups. These nature-inspired interiors, bright colours and authentic crafts accompany guests throughout their journey,” he said.

Simmons explained that the 172 stylishly appointed rooms come fully equipped with comfortable king or twin beds and everything travellers need to stay productive. We are excited to reveal the hotel’s locally inspired interior design and energetic aesthetics to everyone during our initial phase launch in March 2023. Walking through our doors, guests will discover the stories woven into every corner that speak volumes about Miri and its people.

“Mercure Miri City Centre is located just at a short 10 minutes’ drive from Miri Airport, which offers direct connections to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and cities across Malaysia. It is also just 20 minutes from the border with Brunei,” he remarked.
