SOEKARNO-HATTA AIRPORT NAMED BEST AIRPORT IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION

PT ANGKASA Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) announced that Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, has been named the Best Airline Airport in Asia Pacific by the Airports Council International (ACI) version of the Airports Council International.

Soetta Airport itself, which previously won a prestigious award in the 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards, was named the best airport with more than 40 million passengers in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia KC Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Dwi Ananda Wicaksana through a written statement in Tangerang, Wednesday (03/12), 2025, stated that this award was the result of the transformation of services that continue to increase their ranks.

“This award is a clear proof that Soekarno-Hatta Airport continues to develop to provide the best experience for passengers. We have made transformations and various improvements ranging from infrastructure development, ecosystem-based optimization of operations, to improving the quality of customer service,” he said.

As the largest airport with the highest number of passengers in Indonesia, Soetta Airport is able to compete and parallel with other major airports in various countries and become one of the best in the Asia-Pacific region.

This recognition is achieved through an assessment conducted in the ASQ Awards, where airport experience is a major factor in determining the quality of airport service.

“The ASQ Awards is a global assessment program that measures the airport service user experience based on direct surveys conducted around the world. This award shows that the service improvements made at Soekarno-Hatta Airport have had a positive impact on service user satisfaction,” he said.

He added that this achievement further strengthened Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s commitment to providing the best service and a comfortable travel experience for passengers.

“We are committed to continue to innovate services to enhance the comfort of the airport. With changes and improvements in facilities, we hope that Soekarno-Hatta Airport can increasingly provide a better experience for all service users,” Dwi Ananda Wicaksana affirmed.

With this award, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has further strengthened its reputation as the main gateway of Indonesia with international standards.

In addition to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, several other airports managed by InJourney Airports also won an award in the 2024 ASQ Awards, such as I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport, Surabaya Juanda Airport, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, and Yogyakarta International Airport.

“In total, 10 airports managed by InJourney Airports won a total of 27 awards, demonstrating the company’s commitment to improving services at all the airports it manages,” he concluded. [sources/photo special]
