IN COMMEMORATION of International Housekeeping Week, Archipelago again held Archipelago Bed Making Battle: The Grand Championship 2025, a competition event aimed at appreciating the dedication and professionalism of the housekeeping team throughout the Archipelago Hotel.
This prestigious event was held on Monday, (9/29), 2025 at the Aston Kuta Hotel & Residence, Bali, and presented the 7 best housekeeper finalists from various regions in Indonesia that had been selected in the Regional Bed Making Battle. This bed making competition confirms Archipelago’s commitment in maintaining the highest service standards, by presenting optimal comfort for each guest.
The participants competed to complete the challenges of tidying the bed in three minutes, with an assessment including neatness, technique, accuracy in arrangement of bed linen and pillows, as well as overall presentations according to Archipelago standards.
Seven finalists were selected through a strict internal selection process in each hotel, namely: (1). Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center, (2). Aston Batam Hotel & Residence, (3). Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center, (4). Aston Kupang Hotel & Convention Center, (5). Aston Inn Mataram, (6). Fave+ Hotel Banjarbaru, (7). Fave Hotel Bitung – North Sulawesi
The judging panel consisted of Archipelago representatives: (1). Sari Kusumaningrum – Senior Director of Corporate Communications & PR. (2). I Gede Arya Pering Arimbawa – Regional General Manager, (3). Berri Naurika – Regional General Manager, (4). Gusti Cayaningrat – General Manager of Aston Canggu Beach Resort.
“This event reflects the hard work and dedication of our housekeeping team in paying attention to every detail and presents the best service for guests. This initiative is also a form of Archipelago’s commitment in appreciating and encouraging the housekeeping team to continue to develop among various housekeepers through the National Championship Archipelago Bed Battle President of Operations Archipelago.
Likewise, Imanuddin from Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center, the first winner of the Archipelago Bed Making Battle: The Grand Championship 2025 said I was very grateful to be able to re-win the Archipelago Bed Making Battle competition.
“After yesterday becoming the first champion at the regional level, now I managed to prove myself at the national level. The key I do is always there is time to practice within 2 minutes so that the bed presentation is more perfect,” he said.
