THE LIST of Indonesia’s 10 wealthiest individuals underwent changes in December 2025. Forbes has observed the emergence of new names and the departure of several established businessmen from the elite ranks.
The 17 percent increase in the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) throughout the year contributed to a surge in the wealth of several conglomerates. The combined wealth of Indonesia’s 50 wealthiest individuals reached an all-time high of US$306 billion, equivalent to approximately IDR5,100 trillion, marking an increase from US$263 billion the previous year.
However, the impact of the strengthening stock market was not uniform. Several conglomerates experienced a decline in their rankings due to a decrease in the shares of the companies that were their primary sources of wealth.
Agoes Projosasmito is a prime example of this phenomenon. The President Commissioner of Amman Mineral Anggaran dan President Director of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), he fell from seventh place in 2024 to 13th place with a wealth of US$5 billion (approximately IDR83 trillion). In 2023, Agoes Projosasmito’s wealth was recorded at US$5.4 billion.
A comparable scenario unfolded for Dewi Kam, the sole female competitor to secure a position in the top 10 list for the past two consecutive years. She has since dropped to 17th place with a wealth of US$4.3 billion, or approximately IDR71 trillion. Dewi Kam’s position in the top 10 has been replaced by Marina Budiman.
A discussion of newcomers and the return of the conglomerate.
One newcomer is Otto Toto Sugiri, founder and CEO of PT DCI Indonesia Tbk, a data center company founded in 2011. Otto’s net worth is estimated at US$11.3 billion, equivalent to approximately IDR188.4 trillion. His wealth increased from US$7 billion in early 2025 to US$1.8 billion in 2024.
