SINGAPORE AIRLINES IMPROVES ENTERTAINMENT IN FLIGHTS DURING TRAVEL

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) is enhancing the in-flight entertainment experience with next-generation KrisWorld and high-speed connectivity, giving customers more choice, control and flexibility during travel.

The latest generation of KrisWorld features 4K high-resolution touchscreens, including OLED screens on select aircraft and cabin classes, equipped with spatial audio, Bluetooth connectivity for personal headphones, a redesigned user interface, new fitness planning features, personalization features and more than 2,500 entertainment options.

These various improvements provide the experience of watching movies, television shows, listening to music and enjoying other content with sharper images and richer, clearer and more immersive sound. Customers also have more control over how they want to enjoy their time during the flight.

According to Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines, said, “Our customers tell us that they want more choice and flexibility in enjoying their time while flying, as well as entertainment and connectivity experiences that can be integrated into their journey more naturally.

“This input became the basis for the development of the next generation of KrisWorld and SIA connectivity services, which make it easier for customers to find and enjoy content, stay connected with those closest to them, and easily switch between entertainment and other activities during the flight,” he said.

SIA’s next-generation KrisWorld will be available on 41 refurbished Airbus A350-900 long-range and A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft that will enter service gradually in 2027, as well as on its upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft. Available features may vary depending on aircraft type and cabin class, as further explained in Appendix A.

High-speed connectivity will also complement the KrisWorld experience on Starlink-equipped aircraft, this service allows customers to stream content, stay connected with family and friends, and continue activities such as accessing social media, playing games and working during the flight. Starlink will be introduced in stages from early 2027 on SIA’s Airbus A380, long-haul A350-900 and A350-900ULR aircraft.

These improvements to KrisWorld and high-speed connectivity are part of the development of SIA’s comprehensive travel experience, along with the latest generation of long-haul cabin products, updated food and beverage options, new amenities across all cabin classes and enhanced ground services. This newest travel experience will be introduced in Singapore in November 2026. [sources/photo special]
