DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said there were 15 major concerts that had submitted applications to be able to hold concerts at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta.
“There are already 15 big concerts that have proposed being held at JIS,” said Pramono when met in the Central Jakarta area, Friday (10/30), 2026.
He believes that JIS is now attracting a lot of attention from event organizers because the transportation is now better, so it is easier for concert goers to get to that location. Apart from that, JIS is also now connected to Ancol, so that spectators can park their vehicles at this tourist spot.
“The transportation problem used to be a handicap for traffic jams, after repairs were made, it was connected to Ancol, then there was also the KRL, and soon we will build the platform for the KRL at JIS on one side again to become two sides,” explained Pramono.
Apart from discussing concert plans, Pramono also revealed that a number of companies had submitted offers to obtain naming rights at JIS.
However, he was reluctant to name the company interested in getting the naming rights to the stadium.
“There are already several, I won’t mention it first, there are already several who have applied for naming rights for JIS,” he said.
Pramono hopes that the increasing number of large-scale activities at JIS can support Jakarta’s efforts to become the center for organizing various events or the epicenter of events. [antaranews]
