TOURISM MINISTRY DEVELOPS A TRAVEL PATTERN IN SOUTH SULAWESI PROVINCE

INDONESIA’S Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will develop a travel pattern for tourists to improve the quality of tourism and the creative economy in South Sulawesi Province.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno during a meeting entitled Collaboration with 8 Regional Heads, at the Soesilo Soedarman Hall, Sapta Pesona Building, Wednesday (14/4) said I would schedule a visit to Sulawesi to look for travel patterns, if I landed in Maros, where is the movement of the tour going, of course, to Makassar first, because he is staying there, but what kind of movement we want to know. So, later we can document and promote it.

“Travel patterns can not only provide more experience for tourists, but create quality and sustainable tourism, in accordance with future tourism trends that tend to be personalize, customize, localize, and smaller in size,” he said.

He explained, customize the meaning of special interest tourism, they come to the destination because of a special desire. Personalize where tourists will come with their families. Localize the distance between residence and destination is a maximum of 200 to 300 km, so we need to develop this travel pattern. Finally, smaller in size, in terms of quantity it is smaller than before the pandemic, but the quality and impact on the environment will be better. So it is more quality and sustainability.

“South Sulawesi, as the gateway to eastern Indonesia, has extraordinary natural wealth and cultural heritage. Many destinations have become leading and even global tourism, such as Losari Beach, Fort Rotterdam, Takabonerate Marine Park, Tanjung Bira Beach, Pallawa Tourism, and others,” Sandiaga said.

With the development of travel patterns, he continued, it is hoped that the tourism potential in South Sulawesi can be integrated with each other, so as to produce a multiplier effect for the tourism sector and the creative economy in South Sulawesi.

During the meeting, the Regents and Mayors had the opportunity to explain various tourism potentials and excellent programs in developing the tourism sector and creative economy in their respective regions. Starting in terms of tourist attractions presented, amenities, and accessibility.

In general, the regional heads hope that the Minister of Tourism can provide support for scaling up human resources for business actors, develop homestays in tourist villages, and support the implementation of events, promotions and marketing. [traveltext.id]
