SANDIAGA: POLICY WITHOUT QUARANTINE IS EXPANDED THROUGHOUT INDONESIA

MINISTER of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said quarantine policies were expanded throughout Indonesia.

“Only with PCR entry test. This policy was decided because the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was considered increasingly controlled thanks to the community’s compliance with the implementation of the health protocol strictly and discipline,” he said in the Weekly Press Briefing, Jakarta, Monday (3/21).

Furthermore, it was said that the COVID-19 handling task force circulation was related to policy without quarantine no later than March 22, 2022.

In addition to the control of controlled pandemic, he added, the smoothness of the testing of the implementation without quarantine in Bali, Batam, and Bintan also became the government’s reference to expand policy without quarantine throughout Indonesia. In the three areas, the positivity rate is called very low and the reproduction rate is decreasing.

“To remind us of all, testing and tracing must be strengthened again. Indeed, antigens as a tour term has been removed, but as a surveillance, as a condition for close contact, this must be strengthened,” said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga also stated that the use of PeduliLindungi is increasingly utilized given the last few weeks the use of the application shows a downward trend.

On the same occasion, he stated during the month of Ramadan, the public could do worship freely while still implementing health protocols, and has carried out complete doses and booster vaccinations which will be adjusted to the level of density in the house of worship. [antaranews]
