CITILINK Indonesia, as an airline under the auspices of the Garuda Indonesia Group, has opened a new international flight route, namely Medan-Penang round-trip starting today, 10 June 2022 and has re-operated the Denpasar-Dili round-trip route.
This is done as a form of the Company’s efforts in supporting the acceleration of the recovery of the national tourism sector.
According to Citilink’s Managing Director, Dewa Kadek Rai, saidcurrently, both Indonesia and Malaysia have entered a period of transition from a pandemic to an endemic state and have imposed a quarantine-free policy for foreign tourists.
“Medan is the gateway to the western part of Indonesia and is one of the cities with the largest economy in Indonesia which has great trade and service economic potential. Meanwhile, Penang is known as a city that has the potential for interesting cultural and historical tourism as well as medical tourism which is in great demand by many people. foreign tourists,” he explained, Friday (6/10).
Not only the opening of the new route Medan-Penang round-trip, Citilink has also re-operated the international flight route Denpasar-Dili round-trip with the hope of being able to provide convenience for business and tourism travellers.
“We hope that this can be a good start for the reopening of Citilink’s international routes and can contribute to the recovery of the economic and tourism sectors between countries,” said Dewa.
Flight route Medan-Penang round-trip will operate every day, while the Denpasar-Dili route round-trip. will operate every Monday and Friday using Airbus A320 aircraft. As for the flight schedule, Medan-Penang with flight code
QG 514 with a flight schedule of 16:40 and 18:40 local time. Then, Penang-Medan with flight code QG 515 flight schedule is 19:50 and 19:55 local time.
