CARRYING the theme of climate change, Plataran Indonesia is knitting parts of everyday life, namely music, sports, and climate by holding the Plataran Bromo Xtravaganza, one of the grand events routinely carried out by Plataran Indonesia which will be back on 10-11 September 2022.
According to Yozua Makes as CEO & Founder of Plataran Indonesia during the Plataran Bromo Xtravaganza press conference, at Hutan Kota by Plataran, Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday (8/25) said this event combines national-scale cultural and musical performances, both offline and virtual (hybrid), sports from challenging marathons to fun easy walks, and held at one of the ecotourism centers of Plataran Indonesia, namely Plataran Bromo Resort & Venue.
“This event will be held in conjunction with the Bromo Marathon on Sunday (9/11) where the Start and Finish lines are at Plataran Bromo as the Official Race Venue. The Bromo Marathon itself is an annual running event in Tosari, Pasuruan Regency, which is no longer common,” he said.
Yozua Makes explained that this event is a unique event because it combines “music-sports-nature” at the same time which is iconicly held above the clouds and surrounded by mountains and hills as well as the open view to the sea which makes this the only concert of music, sports, and nature in Indonesia especially with a hybrid music show approach.
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Tourism Products and Event Organizers, Rizki Handayani at the Tourism Tourism in her short message said that the Bromo Marathon, not only pampers runners’ with an amazing view of Bromo but also highlights culture and entertainment. This is certainly different from the marathon in general.
“This event is also expected to be able to encourage economic revival, open up business opportunities through the involvement of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and also for the promotion of tourist destinations,” she added.
Likewise, the Regent of Pasuruan, H.M. Irsyad Yusuf said that we as the local government are ready to fully support this activity through the arts guided by the government and also the surrounding MSMEs, including the community, to be able to welcome tourists and runners who come to the Plataran Bromo Xtravaganza and Bromo Marathon events. We are grateful that with Plataran Bromo, tourism activities are progressing in Pasuruan, especially in Tosari.
“The highlight of this event is the Live Concert offering above the clouds ‘From Bromo to the Archipelago’ which will be held at Plataran Bromo – Putri Dewi Amphitheater perched on a hill with views of the majestic Mount Arjuna, creating the feel of a show like no other, namely at over the clouds. This event will feature legendary singers such as Syaharani and Trie Utami, as well as millennial artists from Surabaya, Malang and Jakarta,” he concluded. [traveltext.id]
