THE LABUAN Bajo Flores Tourism Authority Board (BPOLBF) continuously strengthens the capacity of creative economy human resources in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), to create quality products.
According to BPOLBF President Director Shana Fatina on Friday (10/7) stated the BPOLBF ensures adequate human resource capacity building to produce quality creative economy products for Labuan Bajo’s tourism.
“As a work unit under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the BPOLBF conducts various activities to prepare human resources to grow in a quality tourism ecosystem in Labuan Bajo. Moreover, the BPOLBF expands market access for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) products that have met the quality standards of the tourism market,” she said.
The BPOLBF, Shana Fatina continued then conducts tourism business incubation and training to create quality event organizers in Labuan Bajo. We are also building new thematic travel patterns up to remote areas.
“Various forms of capacity building and development programs are crucial, as the government has committed to attracting potential investment worth IDR11.2 trillion to Labuan Bajo. Hence, the BPOLBF continues to strengthen the readiness of existing human resources, so that they can produce quality creative economy MSME products to meet the needs of the tourism industry in Labuan Bajo,” she remarked.
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, through its Tourism Human Resources Development Directorate, has made efforts to enhance the capacity of tourism human resources through the Biannual Tourism Forum held in Labuan Bajo on October 3-5, 2022.
In his official statement, the ministry’s Acting Deputy for Human Resources and Institutions Frans Teguh emphasized the need for certainty regarding adequate tourism human resources through tourism programs that support the development of human resources and tourism.
Through the Integrated and Sustainable Tourism Development Program (P3TB), the ministry is seeking to boost local participation and the tourism economy as well as increase human resources through community empowerment programs. [antaranews]
