TTC TRAVEL MART INT’L 2023 BACKS TO ENLIVEN THE TOURISM INDUSTRY

ENTERING the fourth quarter, TTC Indonesia is again holding the International TTC Travel Mart which held in two big cities, Jakarta and Medan, North Sumatra. For implementation in Jakarta, which took place on Tuesday, (9/05), 2023 at the Redtop Hotel Jakarta, then continued to Medan City on Thursday, (9/07), 2023 at the Aryaduta Hotel Medan.

According to Pascalis Kidung, Project Manager of TTC Indonesia, TTC Travel Mart International is entering its 38th year of implementation and is in full momentum in the fourth quarter of 2023.

He added, this event was attended by more than 144 sellers from within and outside the country. One of the issues at the 38th TTC Travel Mart was the presence of new and exclusive sellers from stunning destinations such as Brazil, Peru, South Korea, Japan, Egypt Air.

“Several other foreign countries that have become customers include Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, India, Egypt, the Vatican. China, Thailand, countries from the Balkans. Most surprising was Japan. “There were also many participants from Japan who took part in Jakarta. Then in Medan City there was actually a special session for Japan (JNTO),” he explained.

He explained that it was really exciting to see the growth in the number of sellers taking part in this event. Recently, there have been many travel fairs held, which show a positive trend in the tourism industry.

He also predicted that the enthusiasm that occurred in the city of Jakarta would occur in the city of Medan, North Sumatra. “The last time it was held in Medan was in 2019. We cannot wait to see the various businesses, networks and collaborations that will be formed after this event,” he concluded.

Meanwhile George Van Der Staal, Business Development Manager of VOS S.E.A said, many tourists come to Finland to photograph the aurora, then catch big crabs, and other things.

“The Indonesian market is very large. Since starting last April, I have received 40 groups from Indonesia. In terms of age, most are 50 years and over, or those who are financially mature,” he said.

It must be admitted that the obstacle for Indonesian tourists to come to Europe is the Schengen visa, which takes 1-2 months. “Then the best time for tourists who want to experience the aurora is in November-March, fishing for crabs in the winter season,” he concluded. [traveltext.id/photo special]
