PT INDONESIA AirAsia is moving all domestic flights to Terminal 2, gates 1 and 2 at Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) International Airport, Jakarta starting December 6 2023. However, for AirAsia flights, international routes have not changed and are still operating at Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
According to the President Director of Indonesia AirAsia, Veranita Yosephine, said the transfer of domestic flights to Terminal 2 was carried out to ensure more efficient travel for passengers. Specially to increase passenger comfort when interconnecting international and domestic flights.
“The move of Indonesian AirAsia flights to Terminal 2 aims to provide and maintain the best quality service for all AirAsia customers in Indonesia,” she said in a written statement, Wednesday (11/29), 2023.
She revealed, to ensure a smooth transfer process, Indonesia AirAsia personnel will be on standby in the field to provide assistance and guidance to passengers during the Terminal transfer process from 1A to Terminal 2, doors 1 and 2.
Apart from that, a shuttle service will also be provided to anticipate the movement of passengers to the new departure and arrival terminals.
“We believe that the transition period for this move will run smoothly, and we are sure that all Indonesia AirAsia customers will not experience difficulties in carrying out their trips,” she remarked.
Domestic route passengers can visit counter number 41-48 in the departure area of Terminal 2, doors 1 and 2 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to drop off baggage, check-in and other services. Passengers are advised to check email and SMS for notifications regarding this change, as well as check-in and reprint their boarding pass via the airasia MOVE application or the airasia.com website.
