THE JAPANESE game and animation company Pokemon Company is again holding a series of Pokemon Air Adventure events in Indonesia which will feature a special appearance of Pikachu wearing a specially made batik shirt.
Person in charge of Pokemon Air Adventure Susumu Fukunaga at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday (01/11), 2024, said that Pikachu in batik will be present in four cities, namely Bali, Jogja, Surabaya and Jakarta in the context of Pikachu’s Indonesia Journey.
“Pikachu with batik will be available in four cities, so, there is a possibility that there will be different batik motifs, we made this batik very special and cute so we hope you all will like it when we meet next,” said Fukunaga.
Pikachu in a batik shirt is the first in the world and was specifically made for the Pokemon Air Adventure series of events which will be held in Bali on March 2-3 2024 at the Puputan Niti Mandala Field in Denpasar, for the first event.
Apart from Pokemon Go and Pokemon Run, which the public can participate in by registering, there will be a Pikachu’s Splash Show during the day with water spray from water cannons.
Then in the evening there will be Pikachu EDM featuring exciting songs so that the audience can dance with Pikachu. Apart from that, there will also be more than 10 Pikachu parades and Pokemon with mini games and attractive prizes.
“There will definitely be Pikachu in batik shirts, not just Pikachu there will be other new Pokemon characters,” said Fukunaga.
For Pokemon fans who want to complete their collection, the event also sold Pokemon knick-knacks, a pop-up store and a photo booth. The event is free, except for Pokemon Go and Pokemon Run.
Fukunaga said the purpose of holding this event was because there are still very few events with a Pokemon theme in Indonesia, even though there are quite a lot of Pokemon fans in Indonesia.
“In Indonesia, there are lots of friends who already know about Pokemon, however, so far there are still not many activities related to Pokemon that we can hold in Indonesia. So, the hope is that with this project we can convey even more fun with Pokemon together friends in Indonesia,” said Fukunaga.
Apart from the Pokemon Air Adventure event, the Pikachu’s Indonesia Journey series also collaborated with the national airline Garuda Indonesia to design livery aircraft with a Pokemon theme including Pikachu and various other Pokemon characters.
Fukunaga hopes that Garuda Indonesia aircraft flights with Pokemon livery designs will be an encouragement for tourists to travel to Indonesia and enjoy the beauty of Indonesia with Pikachu. [antaranews]
