MINISTER of Public Works and Public Housing and acting head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono has invited Japanese trading company Sojitz to invest in the new capital city, Nusantara.
According to Basuki Hadimuljono said that the company is interested in investing in the property sector in Nusantara. Sojitz’s potential investment is likely to be the first full foreign investment in Nusantara. That’s why I called them, as they have the potential to invest.
President Joko Widodo previously said that the government is ready to enact regulations to attract more foreign investments in Nusantara.
The government has so far received 300 letters of intent (LoIs) from foreign investors wishing to take part in the development of Nusantara. [antaranews]
