SINGAPORE AIRLINES HEATHROW AIRPORT LOUNGE REOPENS AFTER RENOVATION

SINGAPORE Airlines has reopened its SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 following a six-month refurbishment. The modernized lounge features modern amenities and furnishings throughout, offering customers more seating, luxury and comfort.

Located in Terminal 2B, the 10,689 square foot lounge comprises an exclusive First Class Lounge and a separate Business Class Lounge and is open daily from 5:30am to 10:00pm local time. Singapore Airlines’ new SilverKris Lounge at London Heathrow offers customers a refreshing, spacious and welcoming environment.

“With a capacity of up to 242 passengers, the 16% increase in seating capacity offers a range of seating options including personal productivity pods, stylish wingback chairs and chairs with spacious tables. Symbolic of SIA’s flagship SilverKris Lounge at Singapore’s Changi Airport, the lounge is designed to offer customers a home-away-from-home feel with a variety of private spaces and personalized service,” he said.

Mohamed Rafi Mar explained that to meet the evolving needs of travelers, the lounge features multiple charging points for electronic devices, a 75-inch TV with live streaming, free Wi-Fi throughout the lounge, and iconic batik-patterned walls that can be used as photo backdrops.

“In the First-Class Lounge, customers can choose from a la carte and made-to-order dishes from a newly designed menu, in addition to buffet service. The menu includes customer favorites such as Singapore Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice, as well as Western options such as English Breakfast and Spinach Cannelloni. Customers can also enjoy Laurent Perrier champagne and a selection of wines and soft drinks served throughout the day,” he said.

Likewise, he continued, the Business Class Lounge also features a renovated cocktail bar as its centerpiece. This dedicated area offers elegant bar seating for 10 guests with a selection of wines, Rodier champagne and cocktails, including the famous Singapore Sling, made to order by the bartender. In addition, the buffet offers a wide selection of hot and cold food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including Western and Asian cuisine.

“For guests wishing to freshen up before their flight, there are refurbished toilets with two showers in the First-Class Lounge and four showers in the Business Class Lounge. This is part of our ongoing commitment to provide an unparalleled travel experience, and we look forward to welcoming guests to our lounges.”
