HIT BY COVID-19 PANDEMIC, SUSI AIR HAS NOT AIRED FOR TWO MONTHS

SUSI AIR’s owner, former minister of maritime affairs and fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, asks the government, especially the Ministry of Transportation, to change policies that burden airline operators.

According to her during the corona virus pandemic (COVID-19), the aviation sector business was really down, due to being unable to operate but still having to pay various bills. Susi Air was also hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The airline company Susi Air has not received revenue because Susi Air has not aired for two months. We haven’t flown for two months at all. I also regret that government policy in the aviation world has not been changed,” Susi Pudjiastuti said, Friday (12/6).

She explained, the issue was, the obligation to pay the government in the form of an extension of the pilot permit to the security clearance letter to enter the airport. Payment of the renewal obligation remains even in the middle of the pandemic.

“Meanwhile, for the past two months, his business has not received any income because of the situation. I suggest the government take the initiative to free the obligation of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP). Free PNPB obligations,” Susi Pudjiastuti noted.

Emphasized, on the other hand, our side still maintains its obligation to pay employees in the midst of declining business conditions. While we have zero income, we must maintain several offices, such as in Papua,” she concluded. [sources/photo special]
