THE BALI Government released a number of provisions related to the opening of tourism for foreign tourists. One of them has health insurance with a total coverage of US$100,000. First, countries that are allowed to enter are those with a low COVID-19 risk at level 1 and level 2, then a positive rate of less than 5% or according to WHO standards and implement a policy of mutual disclosure or the principle of reciprocity.
At least 19 countries are allowed to enter Bali, namely Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Liechtenstein, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Hungary, and Norway.
The requirements for the departure of foreign tourists are complete vaccinations or two injections, negative PCR swab test results three days before departure, filling out the international e-HAC Application which is integrated with the PeduliLindungi application and the Love Bali application, and having health insurance with a minimum coverage value of US$100,000. which includes financing for handling COVID-19.
When arriving at the arrival gate of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, tourists are required to show documents that have been filled out completely according to the e-HAC application, immigration requirements, and take the PCR swab test. The waiting time for the PCR swab test results is about 1 hour. While waiting for the results of the PCR swab test, tourists are in a zone that has been determined by the Airport Authority, not allowed to leave.
If the results are positive with no symptoms, mild, moderate, and severe symptoms, tourists will be taken to a hospital that has been determined by the Bali Provincial Government to undergo treatment or isolation. If the results are negative, tourists will be taken to a hotel that has been determined by the Bali provincial government to undergo quarantine for 5 days. During quarantine, tourists are only allowed to move in the hotel area.
On the fourth day, following the PCR swab test. If the results are positive with no symptoms, mild, moderate, and severe symptoms, tourists will be taken to a hospital that has been determined by the Bali provincial government to undergo treatment or isolation. If the results are negative, tourists can move hotels and carry out activities to tourist destinations.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, said that he had set as many as 35 hotels for quarantine and lodging for tourists, which already have a Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) standard certificate. While in Bali, tourists are obliged to follow the COVID-19 health protocol and laws and regulations in an orderly and disciplined manner.
“The cost of the PCR swab test, isolation or treatment at the hospital, and quarantine at the hotel are the responsibility of tourists. In addition, tourists are obliged to use transportation facilities that have been determined by the hotel with CHSE standard requirements,” he said.
According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to be managed as well as possible, to avoid an increase in new cases in Bali, so that it will give the national and international community confidence in the handling of COVID-19 in Bali.
