THE INDONESIAN Ministry of Health has issued international COVID-19 vaccine certificates adjusted to the WHO standards on the PeduliLindungi application.
“The form and information listed on international vaccine certificates have been adapted to WHO standards, including the QR code listed in it, so that it can be read and recognized abroad,” Chief of the Digital Transformation Office of the Ministry of Health, Setiaji, noted in a written statement issued by the Ministry of Health received here on Friday late night (1/28).
Setiaji remarked that international vaccine certificates could be used by Indonesian international travelers and Indonesian migrant workers to prove they had received complete primary vaccinations.
“One of the uses of international (vaccine) certificates is for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage,” he noted.
Nevertheless, he reminded the public that the international vaccine certificate only serves as a health document, so Indonesian travelers are still required to comply with the regulations and health protocols that apply in each country that they will visit.
Regarding the vaccine brands that are accepted as well as the validity period, they will also follow the regulations in each country, he remarked.
Setiaji stated that the international vaccine certificates issued by the Ministry of Health could be accessed through the PeduliLindungi application.
In order to access the certificate, people are required to update the PeduliLindungi application to the latest version, and the certificate will be available in the “Vaccine Certificate” section.
Next, users can select the destination country, and the certificate will be successfully created and activated.
PeduliLindungi is an application developed by the Indonesian government for supporting its COVID-19 handling in the country. The application helps the government in tracing efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The application also supports the government’s vaccination program by providing features, such as vaccination status, vaccination history and tickets, and vaccine certificates. [antaranews/photo special]
