LUGGAGE, equipment, and travel accessories brand Samsonite is again collaborating with the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF Indonesia) Foundation to encourage more sustainable tourism in Indonesia.
“This year, Samsonite is collaborating again with WWF Indonesia as a form of our commitment to encourage sustainable tourism in Indonesia. Luggage Trade-in is Samsonite’s initiative to invite the community to play a direct role in creating a better future for all,” said Samsonite Indonesia Country Head Nadya Pertiwi through a press release received in Jakarta, Wednesday (9/7).
On 7-9 September 2022, Samsonite presents the annual Luggage Trade-In program. You can exchange your old suitcase with any brand, size and condition to get 40% discount on Samsonite NIAR, ENWRAP, and VOLANT luggage purchases at all official Samsonite stores, including e-commerce.
In order for the positive impact to be more comprehensive, Samsonite in the program is also working with Plustik, a start-up company from Indonesia that focuses on managing plastic waste recycling.
At the end of the program, Samsonite will donate IDR100,000 from each trade-in transaction to WWF Indonesia through the Signing Blue program which will be used for the protection of natural resources and the development of more responsible marine tourism.
With this program, Samsonite hopes to encourage tourists to make better and smarter choices for environmental conservation.
In this way, all parties can jointly make a positive contribution in reducing environmental impacts on society, as well as creating a sustainable environment for present and future generations.
“We believe that through these small steps we can achieve a bigger goal, namely the realization of a sustainable ecosystem and moving towards a circular economy,” concluded Nadya. [sources/photo special]
