AIRASIA airline announced improvements to its reservation and passenger management system on 10-11 July 2024. During the improvements, prospective passengers are advised to self-check in and arrive early before departure.
According to Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy, Indonesia AirAsia, Eddy Krismeidi said that this system improvement aims to improve booking experience and efficiency. AirAsia is always committed to providing the best service for all its passengers. So regular system improvements must of course be carried out for smooth service and to meet the growing needs of passengers.
“This repair is scheduled to be carried out for 8 hours starting at 18:00 (GMT+7) on 10 July 2024 until 02:00 (GMT+7) on 11 July 2024. During this period, AirAsia advises all prospective passengers to take the following steps,” he said.
The following steps will ensure your trip runs smoothly:
• Self Check In before Flight
All passengers, including group bookings and connecting flights on 10 and 11 July 2024, are strongly advised to self-check in via the AirAsia MOVE application (formerly AirAsia Superapp), which is available or a maximum of 14 days before the scheduled departure time.
• Arrive Early
All passengers, especially those with group bookings, limited mobility and special needs, are expected to arrive at the airport at least three hours earlier than the scheduled departure time to complete the entire travel process. Check-in services at counters and kiosks, as well as baggage drop-off at all airports where AirAsia operates, will be affected by this system upgrade.
• Use E-Boarding Pass
Download the E-Boarding Pass from the AirAsia MOVE application and save it in your digital wallet or cellphone to make the boarding process easier without the need to reprint tickets at the airport.
• Update Contact Details
Passengers affected during the system repair period will be notified via email and SMS text message. Make sure your contact details are always updated to receive the latest notifications regarding your flight status with AirAsia.
AirAsia flight booking, booking management, web check-in, flight and hotel booking, issuing and redeeming AirAsia Rewards points, payment processing for existing bookings, as well as purchasing additional packages, including online duty-free, will not be available during this period.
Meanwhile, all other services on the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly AirAsia Superapp) and airasia.com, such as services not related to AirAsia flights, will not be affected.
All AirAsia flight tickets can be booked via the airasia MOVE application (formerly Airasia Superapp), the airasia.com website, online travel agents and other official travel agents. To order tickets for groups of 10 people or more, prospective passengers can contact the AirAsia Group Desk service via email to groupbooking_id@airasia.com.
Indonesia AirAsia reminds passengers to comply with cabin baggage provisions which can only carry bags or luggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg per person. If it exceeds the specified weight, it is recommended to put it in checked baggage via the check-in counter at the departure airport. [sources/photo special]
