ARTOTEL WANDERLUST PRESENTS THE MIX MEDIA ‘CHRONOSPIRA’ AT AGSJ

THE STORY of Films and Artotel Wanderlust presented a solo exhibition titled “Chronospira,” a mixed media installation by Dita Gambiro. The exhibition took place at ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan Jakarta (AGSJ) and was open to the public from July 8 to August 7, 2025.

Chronospira was inspired by the main character of Films Stories’ latest film offering, Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan (Afternoon: Wife of the Future), written and directed by Yandy Laurens, which will be released in theaters on July 10, 2025. Through her mix media installation, Dita Gambiro interpreted the emotional journey of Sore, presenting a fragmented, non-linear spiral of time.

In the film, Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan is a figure who comes from the future to save her husband, Jonathan. He knew the secrets of the future, but time would not easily allow the afternoon to intervene in Jonathan’s destiny. This work represents an afternoon trip, featuring accompanying cloth and objects that serve as witnesses, as well as the image of a frozen photograph.

“Through this work, I want to invite visitors to experience the rhythm of the afternoon, the relentless passage of time, and the struggle of love, which often ends in destruction,” said Dita Gambiro, the artist, Production Designer, and Art Director of Sore. Wife from the Future, regarding her installation work.

“Dita’s work gives a new dimension to the afternoon. This work is not only a monument, but also another way to understand the dimensions of the afternoon outside the cinema screen,” said the director of Wife from the Future, Yandy Laurens. Wife from the Future, Yandy Laurens.

Dita and Yandy previously worked together on several other films, including Blockbuster One Sister Seven Nieces, which won seven Citra FFI Awards.

Meanwhile, Artotel Wanderlust, the official partner of the Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan, welcomes everyone with joy to celebrate the Chronospira installation. Artotel Wanderlust also supported the production of the film by providing accommodations and a venue for activities ranging from filmmaking preparation to the final screening.
