ON AUGUST, CITILINK & BATIK AIR FLIGHTS MOVED FROM HALIM TO SOETTA AIRPORT

THE MINISTRY of Transportation decided to relocate some Batik Air and Citilink flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) Airport. This policy took effect on August 1, 2025.

According to Lukman F. Laisa, the Director General of Civil Aviation at the Ministry of Transportation, said this step was taken to improve public services at both airports.

“We have informed the flight operators of the plan to transfer flights from Halim to Soetta, and in principle, the operators agreed,” said Lukman on Monday, (07/21), 2025.

This decision was made following coordination with the relevant airlines. The Ministry of Transportation has asked all operators to actively convey this information to passengers to prevent confusion.

PT Citilink Indonesia has expressed support for the plan. Tashia Scholz, Head of the Corporate Secretary & CSR Division at Citilink, said the transfer of some services was carried out to improve services at Halim and Soekarno-Hatta.

“Currently, Citilink is coordinating closely with all stakeholders, including regulators and airport managers, to implement this transfer policy,” Scholz said.

Some Citilink routes that will be moved to Soekarno-Hatta Airport include flights to and from Palembang, Medan, and Kulon Progo. The Citilink routes currently operating in Halim include Silangit, Malang, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Way Kanan, and Denpasar. [sources/photo special]
