IN observance of National Disability Day, which is annually commemorated on December 3, MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy, in partnership with Hotel Bidakara Jakarta, organized an event titled “The Ability to Move Forward with Art.”
This event, held on the second floor of Hotel Bidakara Jakarta, aimed to raise awareness about the rights of individuals with disabilities and the significance of inclusion in society. The exhibition will be open to the public from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
According to Tommy Hermanses, CEO/Founder, said the exhibition was opened with the agreement in place between the company and Hotel Bidakara Jakarta to exhibit works of art, including paintings and photographs. This exhibition is the result of one of the MATALESOGE programs, which explores the interests and talents of the training program’s participants.
This event is presented as an exhibition of 33 paintings and photographs created by individuals with special needs at MATALESOGE HospitABLElity Academy using scratches and hand-shots. The works of art painted on canvas and the photos taken have artistic value as a form of expression of the contents of the heart, as a way for them to communicate,” said Tommy.
The unity of the color composition in the painting is said to contribute to its artistic value, as the various strokes are said to come together to create a harmonious and meaningful visual experience. The following artists were in attendance at the exhibition: Diego Luister Berel, Nicole Nigella Hilman, Farah Dilla Fahira, Kevin Lokenga Lobota, Anindhita Kirana Isa, Rais, Indhy Mutiarahma, Edcel, Ruben Rotti, Daffa, Adinda Manditta, Shawn Darwin, and the photographer Gamal Zahar, Mario Badril.
Meanwhile, Abraham Saharsan, Director of Sales & Marketing Hotel Bidakara Jakarta, stated that collaborating with MATALESOGE hospitABLElity Academy is consistent with the hotel’s ongoing transformation, particularly in regard to individuals with special needs.
