BOBA DRINK WITH TURMERIC, MORINGA & HERB FLAVORS, DARE TO TRY?

FRESH milk brown sugar or Thai tea is always paired with bubble or boba (tapioca ball), but what does it feel like if the drink is replaced using herbal ingredients such as turmeric, ginger or cinnamon?

A bubble drink outlet called Buba Soul which is located at Fx Sudirman 2nd floor, Jakarta provides a new experience for those who like sweet drinks with boba who want to stay healthy because of the contents in them.

In most boba drinks, each serving of glasses has more than 600 calories. Buba Soul offers different things, the calories offered in a glass of this drink are only approximately 100-300 calories because cussing natural sweeteners such as sugar palm and organic honey.

This favorite drinks are Golden Turmeric (turmeric milk), Royale Rosela, Butterfly Pea Flower (kembang telang), Curcuma Lemonade (temulawak), Moringa (moringa leaf) and others. This type of drink certainly has never been in other boba outlets.

What does it taste like? Certainly unique. For those who are not accustomed to consuming herbal drinks may feel strange with a mixture of turmeric, milk, sugar palm and boba. Turmeric and milk in this drink is very pronounced, so remember when consuming herbal medicine.

However, it feels quite refreshing especially when added to ice cubes and boba. Surely this drink is healthy especially with low calories. Choice of toppings or additional beverage contents also range from boba or pearl, nata de coco to aloe vera.

“The purpose of making Buba Soul is to make herbs go up in class. We want to increase the added value of Indonesian spices by processing this into a contemporary drink that can be enjoyed by children, teens and adults,” said Ir Isabella Silalahi,  CEO and co-founder of Buba Soul in the opening of Buba Soul in Jakarta recently.

Buba Soul also uses environmentally friendly packaging (biodegradable and compostable) and reduces the use of disposable plastics. Each drink in Buba Soul has a variable price ranging from IDR25.000 to IDR45.000 per glass. [photo special]
