BATIK AIR OFFICIALLY OPENS JAKARTA-BERAU NEW DOMESTIC FLIGHT ROUTE

BATIK Air has inaugurated a new domestic route connecting Jakarta through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang with Tanjung Redeb as the administrative center of Berau Regency, East Kalimantan through via Kalimarau Airport.

According to Strategic Corporate Communication Lion Air Danang Mandala said that the flight service is scheduled once a day. This new route to East Kalimantan, he added, makes Batik Air the only airline that connects non-stop or transit (non-stop) Jakarta to Berau by round trip.

“For services from Berau, Batik Air has a departure time at 09:10 WITA with flight number ID-6431. The plane arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 10:40 WIB,” he explained through his official statement.

Batik Air’s operations in Berau, he continued, will use Airbus 320-200CEO PK-LUF registration. This aircraft has a capacity of 12 business class seats and 144 economy classes that are equipped with entertainment on the plane (audio video on demand) in each seat, the distance between the seats, and food.

The full service airline is projecting Soekarno-Hatta air travel to Kalimarau around 2 hours 30 minutes or non-stop.

Danang added that opening the route to Berau was part of the seriousness of Batik Air in accommodating the needs of aviation services, developing the company’s business and supporting government programs in promoting tourism and equitable distribution of new economic growth centers in Indonesia.

Berau becomes the third city of Batik Air in East Kalimantan after Balikpapan-Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport and Samarinda-International airport Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto. [special photo]
