10 COUNTRIES RECEIVING TOURISTS WHO HAVE BEEN INJECTED VACCINES COVID-19

THE COVID-19 pandemic has made a number of countries close their borders, even specific to certain countries. However, vaccinations that are carried out make a country reopen its borders to citizens of other countries.

Reporting from Travel and Leisure, said several tourist destinations have opened their borders for citizens of the United States who have received full vaccination. Previously, these tourist destinations closed borders to travelers from the United States. Even so, they still need to have a negative COVID-19 test result regardless of their vaccination status if they have just traveled internationally.

The following countries are currently accepting Americans have been vaccinated:
(1). Bahamas
The Bahamas welcomes travelers who have received the full Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson or AstraZeneca vaccines. Those who get the injection are exempt from the pre-arrival testing requirements as well as the island’s health testing protocol.

The Bahamas also welcomes unvaccinated travelers, but requires them to show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 5 days prior to arrival, complete a daily health questionnaire, and have a rapid COVID-19 antigen test on the fifth day of their journey. Children aged 10 and under were also exempted from testing. All travelers to the Bahamas must apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa and participate in COVID-19 health insurance.

(2). Belize
Belize will waive the COVID-19 testing requirement for travelers who can show proof that they have been fully vaccinated. International travelers must book their stay at the “Gold Standard Hotel” and download the state health app. Belize also welcomes unvaccinated travelers, but requires that they have evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 96 hours of travel or a negative rapid test within 48 hours of travel, or that travelers can be tested upon arrival at the airport for US$50.

(3). British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands welcomes vaccinated tourists with shorter quarantine measures starting May 15. Travelers will be asked to show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test from within 5 days of arrival, be tested on arrival, and quarantine until the test comes back negative. They will not be asked to test again. Unvaccinated tourists can also visit, but must be quarantined for 4 days and undergo another test on the fourth day in addition to the pre-travel and arrival tests.

(4). Croatia
Croatia welcomes vaccinated travelers from countries, including the US, exempting them from pre-arrival testing or self-isolation requirements. Vaccinated travelers must arrive at least 14 days after receiving their last injection of either the two-dose vaccine or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

All travelers from the United States, regardless of their vaccination status, must also provide proof of paid accommodation in a hotel, camp, private charter or charter boat. Reservation is not sufficient, according to the US Embassy in Croatia, and must be paid in advance.

Alternatively, Croatia also welcomes American tourists who have not been vaccinated but require them to present evidence of a negative PCR or COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival or to show evidence that they have contracted COVID-19 and recovered within 6 months.

Children under 7 years old with a parent or guardian are exempted from this requirement. Those who came in with negative rapid tests and stayed longer than 10 days should retest within those 10 days.

(5). Ecuador
Tourists with the COVID-19 vaccine can enter Ecuador and travel to one of the island’s most popular destinations, the Galapagos Islands. Unvaccinated tourists are also allowed to visit Ecuador and its islands which are notorious for evidence of negative antigen tests taken within 72 hours of departure, or evidence of recent recovery from COVID-19. Visitors must comply with social distancing regulations and wear face masks during their stay.

(6). Georgia
Georgia welcomes US travelers arriving by air who have received both doses of the vaccine. Those who are fully vaccinated do not need to undergo pre-arrival testing or quarantine upon arrival. Unvaccinated travelers can also visit the country, but must arrive with a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours, get a follow-up PCR test on the third day of arrival in the country, and complete the application with their contact details and travel history.

(7). Greece
Greece plans to welcome fully vaccinated tourists and other foreign visitors with coronavirus antibodies or negative test results in time for the summer trip. The country hopes to formally roll out a welcome mat on May 14 or just days before May 17, when Britain said it would allow residents to continue international travel.

(8). Iceland
Iceland welcomes fully vaccinated travelers from the US from April 6 without the need for quarantine or undergoing mandatory testing. The country will also welcome travelers who can show evidence that they have COVID-19 and are cured.

(9). Israel
Israel will open its borders to fully vaccinated travelers from May 23. Initially, selected tour groups will be allowed to visit. In July, the country hopes to open to individual travelers. All visitors to Israel will be required to undergo a COVID-19 PCR test before boarding the plane as well as undergo an antibody test to prove their vaccination upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport.

(10). Seychelles
Seychelles welcomes fully vaccinated travelers to its pristine beaches coming from any country. Travelers must prove that 2 weeks have passed since they received the second dose. They must also show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at an accredited laboratory within 72 hours of travel.

Travelers must complete a medical travel pass showing vaccination certificates, test results, flight confirmation and accommodation details. The country will reopen to all travelers – vaccinated or not – once a large part of its population has been vaccinated. [bisnis.com/photo special]
